I still remember the opening credits the rather visceral swinging light bulb, this like the narratives in the dramas were intense, there was no CGI or any of the other enhancements that dramas get today. You got gritty story lines and good acting, yes the sets were simple and often as not you got to see grotty bed sits and a bleak looking London. This a good quality show that was all merit, unlike the zombie TV we get today.
