Two Fauns uses a cinema verite style overlaid with Finkelstein's signature graphic treatments-- skyscraper and flute cutouts dance suggestively across the screen and singers appear as disembodied floating heads.

There is an earnestness to the piece that is touching without being cloying. The monochromatic streets--where buildings loom large above the two searchers--serve a nice visual counterpoint to the Shelley poetry. The actors are given a magical space to interact when they finally meet---giving them the ability to carry off the text in a natural and satisfying way.
