Anyone who likes 60's British shows like Doctor Who and The Avengers then they may be interested in this programme, and just like those shows this programme was created by Sydney Newman.
In production quality terms it is like the Honor Blackman videotape era of The Avengers.
But due to the BBC's Purging of a lot of it's Black and White TV shows in the early 70's,
only 17 of the 29 episodes still exist.
The episode "D for Destruction" starred soon to be second Doctor Who Patrick Troughton in his last role before playing the Doctor.
I believe this was one of ex-Doctor Who producer's Verity Lambert's first jobs after leaving "Who".
If some of the stories are a bit, "Avenger like", it's because some of the writers also wrote for, "The Avengers".
It ran for two seasons, 1966 & 1967.

Gerald Harper played the part of Adam Llewellyn De Vere Adamant
a Victorian/Edwardian Gentleman Adventurer. Defender of the King and the Empire, and respecter of Women.
The recurring villain in the series was a masked character called "The Face". Who in the first episode lures Adam to a house, overpowers him then Freezes him, until workmen demolishing the house find Adam entombed in a block of ice, but by now it's no longer 1902 it's "swinging" 1966's London.
(Cue all manner of Edwardian gentleman been shocked by 1960's morals and mini-skirts).
Even though it's lost 12 of it's episodes, because each episode was a self contained story it doesn't effect the show too much, if at all.

There was talk of a third series but it was not to be.
It's in black and white and by todays standards some people may find it rather cheesy .
Production quality is like early "Avengers".
