Casshan Robot Hunter is a moving tale of a conflict between machine and man. The earth has been taken over by robots that are out to destroy all human forms of life. The real interesting thing about this movie is the fact that the robots main objective is to protect all human forms of life. The lead robot (Black King [BK1]) is attempting to destroy humans to prtect them from themselves.I definately think that this movie is made up to be more than what it really is. It goes further than man vs. machine (which, even that is place for a good movie)Robot hunter takes humanity to the next level, it shows us that we cannot live without the understanding of our own condition. We need to protect ourselves.Overall, the characters are set up extremely well. Casshan not only has to save the humans, he must also deal with inner conflict. He must learn that the black king is not only an android, but in part his father as well. Casshan also goes through a saga of which he cannot concieve any information about what he should do. Save the Human race, or fulfill his fathers dream.I would definately recommend this film to anyone who has a good taste for dramatic science fiction, as well as anyone that has good appreciation for deeper meanings.
