SANS RETOUR VOYAGE DERNIERE -ENCOURE UNE FOIS- Review

I gave this DVD live only three stars because it's too short, the songs were cut, some of the songs that they played live were taken out, and the sound is poor.

1. Ko no Roumania ~ This is a song that they made up so they can match the next song. It's more of a short play. I think it's an overture into track two.

2. Transylvania ~ One of the best songs in Voyage ~sans retour~. They were doing fine, until they cut it right down the middle and go into Uruwashiki kamen no shotaijo.

3. Uruwashiki kamen no shotaijo ~ A good song, alittle too prissy though, but the techno/trance cut in is really cool.

4. CROIX ~ They cut it again and go into a play called "CROIX" where Yu~ki plays a possesed vampire and throws up blood or something.

5. Tsuioku no kakera ~ They play a remix much different to the one in the Voyage ~sans retour~ album. Both Gackt and Kami play vocals here.

6. Regret ~ Another cut durring the slow part of the song and they go on to Regret, a piano and drum solo performed by Gackt, and MALICE MIZER'S best drummer, Kami. They play very beautifully. The best song in the DVD Live, I think.

7. Madrigal ~ Then they perform Madrigal and everything is happy. Although the cut where they play that classical song is bad. Again, they cut the song and go into a Techno, nice song.

8. Color me blood red ~ This song sounds, and looks dirty. I'm not going to describe what they do though, buy this product and see for yourself. Kami and KOZI do a cool dance though.

9. Ma cherie ~Itoshi kimi e~ ~ They play the full version of this song, and they perform it very well for their last song in their live. It has clips of the band playing Premier Amour and Shi no Butou ~a romance of the 'Cendrillion'~ and N.P.S N.G.S ~no pains no gains~.

Gackt: His voice soars above and beyond. He is a really good pianist, and vocalist. I wonder what MALICE MIZER would have done if Gackt continued together with the band.

KOZI/Mana: Again I cannot tell who is playing what, but I will say that they are a very good pair.

Yu~ki: He plays the vampire in Ko no Roumania and CROIX really good. He also plays the cello, oboe/clarinet (i can't tell) and bass guitar with unique fingers.

Kami: A very valuable drummer. He plays with grace, style, and skill. If only he hadn't died...I feel sorry for him though because most of the songs they played didn't have hardcore drumming parts, he needed that for he played very stifly all throughout the gig.

MALICE MIZER: They will be very successful in music, but most of the songs are all sounding the same. They need to bring out something unique...Not too prissy but not too gothic.
